Healing in ways that feel ancestral.

Where sensuality, sexuality, fashion, and healing intersect.

I hold space for QTBIPOC (heavy on the blackity, black, black, BLACK) people to exist with ease - to be seen without judgment. It can be difficult to exist with multiple intersecting identities, especially within this colonized society. I work from the perspective that colonization, patriarchy, and white supremacy are the main forms of oppression that impact us and cause us anxiety, depression, etc. Because of this, I use storytelling, humor, fashion, movement and ancestral practices to reclaim and build autonomy. In my experience, storytelling is such a powerful tool for healing; it helps us connect to our histories and our ancestors while also building culture and helping us to create and pass down our own stories.

Sensuality and sexuality are integral parts of the human experience. The way we go about engaging in pleasure speaks volumes about how we show up in other facets of our lives. My peanut butter and JAM is talking about sexuality, sensuality, and gender and how it appears in our day to day lives, but talking about these topics can be extremely uncomfortable. I provide a space that is nonjudgmental so you can explore these topics and how they are impacting your life.

Therapy can seem intimidating given the way systems have structured the process to be. It is important that you know about who I am, in a way that is not centered around white professionalism, so you can figure out if I am a good fit for you. The strongest connection within therapy is that of the therapist and client…and how can we build that if I don’t tell you who the hell I am? So here are some bullet points, (paragraphs can sometimes be overwhelming and difficult to process) that have bite size information about what makes me, me :)

  • I am a Biracial (Black and Puerto Rican), queer, cisgender woman

  • I was born and raised in Texas, therefore I understand what it means to have certain identities in spaces that aren’t always accepting of you while balancing the love for a culture/place/time that has contributed to who you are

  • Fashion is my SHIT!! Nothing beats putting on an outfit you feel affirmed in

  • My interest is in all things sex therapy: reading, listening to podcasts, talking, etc.

  • Humor and laughter are integral parts of my life, and I bring that into session

  • I’ve had locs for a year and I believe hair tells a story and in some cases, holds energy

  • I am a strong believer in intuition and energy and leaning on these two concepts to build autonomy

  • I love reading and imagining the characters as black or people of color

  • Favorite genre of music: woman rappers (please send song recommendations)

  • I am a collector of abstract art, jewelry, and household items that depict black bodies in all shapes and sizes

  • Dancing and twerking in the mirror are part of my pre-session/pre-going out routine (let’s find out what your routine is!)

  • You can find me out in nature or in a local bookstore (special thanks to Libélula for allowing me to take my headshot there and for always supplying  me with books for my never ending TBR list)

  • I am an introvert that is masquerading as an extrovert
