My work supports liberation from oppressive beliefs and cultivates radical self-love!
Hola, I’m Jackie!
And I believe our softness is a gift!
I’m passionate about liberating folx from oppressive beliefs, depathologizing mental health and cultivating radical self-love!
I am a first generation Mexican and Salvadorian American queer woman, which has heavily shaped and influenced my life. I am familiar with households where mental health concerns, family trauma, sexuality, gender identity, and oppression are topics that go unacknowledged. This can lead to years of unresolved trauma, mental health concerns, and self-criticism. I have personal and professional experience with severe OCD, trichotillomania, Plural/multiple identities, neurodivergence, depression, anxiety, complex trauma, generational trauma and people-pleasing behaviors. After years of investing in personal self growth and professional learning, I believe that we can unlearn and heal from unresolved trauma so that we can fully embrace our beautiful identities. I use my own love for therapy and human connection to help others practice radical softness, self love, compassion, and acceptance in order to process and heal deep seeded wounds of trauma from the roots up.
I believe therapy should be a supportive, validating, and loving space to bond over our diverse human experiences. As a queer LatinX therapist i am dedicated to decolonizing mental health and empowering clients of all intersectional identities with a social justice lens. I am affirming of all sexual and gender identities, and have lots of experience in providing safe and loving therapeutic spaces to LGBTQ+ folks. I also love empowering and supporting BIPOC communities who are navigating adverse experiences, intergenerational trauma, mental health concerns, and oppressive systems in our culture.
As a survivor of childhood abuse and intimate partner violence my goal is to establish and nourish safe and loving relationships that allow us to be unapologetically ourselves.
When I’m not in therapist-mode, I love being surrounded by my rescue animals! This brought on my love for animal assisted therapy as my pets have gotten me through some of the most difficult parts of my life. So showing your pets during therapy sessions is highly encouraged. My main hobbies are doing witchy shit, nature frolicing, talking to animals, star gazing, snackin on munchies, drinking boba tea, thrifting, taking naps, and cuddling with my cat Moon . That's just a little about me <3
