What’s ironic, though, is from the outside, you look like you have it all figured out, all together. You are the boss at work and at home and always make sure shit gets done and everyone is taken care of. It’s hard to ask for help and you’re worried what people think about you. You are a hustler! You work hard and don’t shy away from a challenge. But you also hustle for acceptance, for love, for safety. You hustle to prove your worth. 

But it doesn’t have to feel this way. You have been telling yourself stories about who you are and what you are worth. You have beliefs about others and strategies for connecting while also staying safe. You learned these stories, beliefs, and strategies somewhere. You have a place in your heart that hurts and so you stay stuck in self-protection mode. Let’s find that place in your heart and heal it for good! Let’s get you unstuck! 

You might be scared that going to therapy, focusing on yourself, learning how to love yourself and set boundaries might make things worse, might drive people away – but I promise the world will not stop spinning if you start therapy.
